About the Opportunity

An innovative Tech Bio company is seeking a Data Scientist to join its computational drug discovery team, supporting antibody design and develop ability programmes. This role combines computational biology, structural bioinformatics, and machine learning to accelerate the discovery of next-generation therapeutics.

You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of computational scientists, biologists, and machine learning researchers to evaluate antibody candidates, generate biological insights, and contribute to computational discovery strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support computational antibody discovery and develop ability projects.
  • Analyse and interpret antibody sequence, structural, and modelling data.
  • Evaluate computationally generated antibody candidates using internal and external platforms.
  • Collaborate with computational, machine learning, and experimental scientists.
  • Contribute to computational workflows and discovery strategy development.
Requirements
  • PhD (or MSc with relevant industry experience) in Computational Biology, Structural Bioinformatics, Computational Structural Biology, or a related discipline.
  • 0–2 years of industry or postdoctoral experience in biotech, pharma, or drug discovery.
  • Experience in one or more of the following:
  • Antibody sequence and repertoire analysis
  • Structural modelling of antibodies and antibody-antigen complexes
  • Affinity optimisation
  • Develop ability assessment
  • Machine learning applications in antibody design
  • Understanding of biologics drug discovery.
