Research and Grants Manager, Bowel Research UK
Remote position with one day per month required in London.
Permanent role. Closing date:
Wednesday 22nd July 2026.
Bowel Research UK is looking for a Research and Grants Manager to coordinate and evaluate the management of the charity’s research activities. This role covers all aspects of pre‑and post‑award research management, impact reporting, grant finance management, governance, coordination of the charity’s scientific committees and shaping external scientific communications to supporters and other stakeholders. The role also involves fostering and maintaining strong relationships with researchers, serving as the primary point of contact for engaging with the research community.
Bowel Research UK is bringing this permanent role following time spent with an interim postholder in position, to create a solid foundation and understanding of what the role needs.
This opportunity to work with the UK’s leading specialist bowel cancer and bowel disease research charity is an essential part of the charity’s mission to bring a cure for bowel cancer and effective treatments to mitigate or eradicate other bowel diseases.
The charity provides flexible working arrangements; the successful candidate will need to be comfortable joining the team in the London office once a month under the existing model. Those who prefer to work more regularly from an office base can use the office space at the Royal College of Surgeons in central London, where most team members work on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
