We are seeking an outstanding and highly motivated Senior Policy Fellow to join the Earth Capital Nexus (Earth Cap) - an ambitious research and action initiative developing new approaches to understanding the interactions between climate, nature, the economy and finance.

Working closely with Professor Nicola Ranger and as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will lead a substantial programme of user-focused research and analytics exploring climate- and nature-related risks, dependencies and opportunities for businesses, financial institutions and the wider economy. You will shape and deliver high-impact research, build strategic partnerships with policymakers, businesses and international organisations, and help translate cutting-edge analysis into practical tools and evidence that inform decision-making at national and global levels.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced researcher and policy leader to shape an ambitious international research agenda, develop innovative analytical approaches, secure and lead major collaborative projects, and work directly with leading policymakers, financial institutions, businesses and international organisations to strengthen economic resilience in the face of climate- and nature-related risks.

Candidates Should Have
  • Substantial experience conducting quantitative, research-based, user-focused analysis, and demonstrable knowledge and understanding of climate- and nature-related corporate, economic or financial risks and resilience.
  • A demonstrable reputation for producing high-quality research-based outputs that inform policy or practice.
  • Experience leading, managing or coordinating projects or work streams involving multiple partners or stakeholders, with clear delivery milestones.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, in English, with the ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate complex work streams.
  • Experience engaging directly with senior stakeholders in financial institutions, corporates, regulators, governments or international organisations.
