OverviewWe are looking for a Research Analyst to join our EMEA research team at Chambers & Partners, based in our London office 2 days per week. The successful candidate will be fluent in either Spanish, Turkish or Italian.
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Background research to understand their assigned practice areas and jurisdictions.
- With the support of the Research Manager, determining which lawyers to contact for interview.
- Conducting probing interviews with lawyers, asking open-ended questions.
- Interviewing in-house counsel and other third-party experts by telephone or via an online questionnaire.
- Accurately logging communications and continually assessing progression of their research .
- Pursuing research leads gained via materials provided by the Chambers team, or through their own research .
- Building an understanding of, and relationships with, the key market participants.
- Analysing the data collected during the research phase to create accurate and impartial ranking tables that reflect the market.
- Producing an informative, business-focused editorial for the Chambers website and our guides.
- Opportunity to work on, and deliver towards Chambers Rankings
- Fully responsible for the comprehensive nature of your editorial
- Developing a deep understanding of your assigned jurisdictions/practice area
- Interviewing in-house counsel and other third-party experts by telephone

- Fluency in a European language, preferably Spanish, Turkish or Italian
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) in English and at least one other language
- Degree educated with an interest or experience in conducting research and analysis
- Comfortable speaking on the phone to people from varying background
- High attention to detail
- Organised and methodical
- Demonstrates the ability to meet set deadlines
- Intellectually curious
