About us The UCL Cancer Institute is the hub for cancer research at University College London, one of the World's leading universities. The Institute draws together over 300 talented scientists who are working together to translate research discoveries into developing better, more effective treatments to improve outcomes for cancer patients. In particular, it fosters links between basic cancer researchers across Biomedicine, and with the clinical activities of our four partner Hospital trusts, known as UCL Partners:

Further Information about the UCL Cancer Institute can be found on our website About the role Gynae-oncology Trials Group UK (GTG-UK) is a national clinical research group specialising in ovarian, endometrial, cervical and vulval cancer trials.

Our goal is to improve gynaecological cancer outcomes for patients across the UK through:

Patient, public and charitable involvement

The National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI) closed in June 2023, after over 20 years, leaving a huge gap in the co-ordination of cancer research across the UK. GTG-UK was formed to maintain the functions of the former NCRI Gynaecological Group, as per a national directive, and to continue formally representing the UK gynae-oncology community within international groups, such as, European Network of Gynaecological Oncology Trials (ENGOT) and the Gynaecologic Cancer Intergroup (GCIG).

GTG-UK also collaborates widely with other clinical trials groups and charities in the UK. GTG-UK is a registered charity (charity number: 1216641), for further information .The post is funded for 2 years in the first instance

About youYou will be a highly organised and proactive project management professional with experience supporting the delivery of clinical research studies or complex programmes within a regulated environment. You will have strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with investigators, sponsors, research teams and international collaborators.

You will be confident managing multiple priorities, coordinating competing work streams and maintaining accurate documentation, while ensuring activities are delivered to agreed timelines and quality standards. With excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills, you will be able to work independently, resolve routine operational issues and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and ways of working.

You will be committed to collaborative working and motivated by the opportunity to support innovative clinical research that improves outcomes for women with gynaecological cancers across the UK and internationally.
