Network Manager – Maternity Cover

The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is one of the world's leading public health universities. Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) is a major concern for health and health equity around the globe. IMPACT AMR is a transdisciplinary network funded by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) funding as part of its work to tackle infections. The IMPACT AMR network brings together national and international researchers, practitioners, policy makers, citizens and other stakeholders to support the prioritisation of interventions to control and manage AMR.

The Network Manager – Maternity Cover role is critical to the network's success. They will be responsible for building, maintaining and fostering a multi-country community, creating and maintaining platforms through which to achieve this, including developing and curating high-profile events and a website, requiring a high level of scientific understanding as well as project management experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build, maintain and foster a multi-country community and platforms to support AMR interventions.
  • Develop and curate high-profile events and website content.
  • Provide proactive administrative support of academic research, including monitoring budgets and preparing accurate costings, projections and reports.
  • Use initiative and judgement to solve problems and manage a busy workload.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills.
Key Requirements
  • Scientific expertise, ideally in the field of antimicrobial resistance.
  • Experience providing proactive administrative support of academic research.
  • Proven ability to monitor budgets and prepare accurate costings, projections and reports.
  • Ability to use initiative and judgement to solve problems.
  • Ability to manage a busy workload.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
Contract & Benefits
  • Part-time 17.5 hours per week, 0.5 FTE and fixed term until 17 October 2027.
  • Fixed term until 17 October 2027.
  • Supplied by UKRI IMPACT AMR Network; available from 19 October 2026.
  • Salary: on the LSHTM salary scale, Grade 6 in the range £45,728 - £51,872 per annum pro rata (inclusive of London Weighting).
  • Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff.
  • Additional discretionary "Wellbeing Days".
  • Membership of the Pension Scheme is available.
  • Location:

    London at LSHTM.
  • Subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service.
