About the Role About the Role The Research Officer will provide high-quality administration and coordination for a range of research activities across the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Working closely with academic and professional services colleagues, the post holder will support research activity throughout the research life cycle.
Key responsibilities include supporting research grant applications and administration, advising on pre- and post-award procedures, coordinating research committees and peer review processes, supporting Research Excellence Framework () activities, and maintaining accurate records of research activity and funding applications. The role will also contribute to research events, communications and other activities that support the Faculty's research strategy.
About You You will be educated to degree level or possess equivalent professional experience, together with substantial administrative experience in a research support or comparable environment. You will have strong organisational, analytical and communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
The successful candidate will have experience of working with a range of stakeholders, a collaborative approach to working, and a commitment to providing excellent support to researchers and colleagues.
