We are looking for a research assistant to support the multiomics analysis of the datasets from the EU-funded DISCOVER ME project. The post is based at Imperial College London at the Department of Metabolism, Digestion and Reproduction. The postholder will facilitate the establishment and deployment of large scale in silico multiomics systems biology pipelines to help understanding ME/CFS pathogenesis.
What you would be doingYou will analyse transcriptomics and metabolomics data from the DISCOVER ME cohort, and run single cell RNA-seq and metabolomics network propagation pipelines on high performance computing environments. This work is fully computational. Your duties will include code maintenance and documentation of the applied pipelines. You will also assist with the writing of reports to research sponsors, with presenting findings to colleagues, and assisting with the publication of findings.
Whatwe are looking for
Due to the border of the medical and computational field of the project we are looking for someone who has both expertise in bioinformatics and knowledge of the biomedical field. A Master degree is essential in computational or systems biology. Demonstrable expertise in single cell RNA-seq analysis and causal network propagation models is also essential.

The position is planned to start November 2026. This is a full-time post (35 hours per week).
This role is for a fixed-term contract for 36 months.
