Thought Leadership provides the environmental expertise that drives the evolution of CDP's disclosure system and its impact. The team leads research and analysis of CDP data and other sources to generate insights that inform decisions across business, finance, and policy. Thought Leadership represents CDP in key stakeholder engagements and expert fora, spearheading strategic partnerships and projects, and contributing actively to the development and application of environmental science, standards, and frameworks.

This role will work collaboratively with colleagues across CDP, as well as key external stakeholders, to inform the development of insights using CDP data. This includes leading analysis with partners to assess the state of investor climate action. The role will suit someone with strong research, analysis and project management skills, with experience communicating their findings to a range of audiences, including the private sector.

• Supporting coordination with external partners and teams across the organization to develop insights on financial sector transition planning
• Conducting data analysis using outputs from CDP's questionnaire, to inform collaborative research and shape external recommendations.
• Supporting the development and execution of CDP's insights and sustainable finance research through project coordination, research & analysis, and preparing and giving webinars where appropriate.
• Collaborating on projects and initiatives both within and outside of CDP.
• Conducting research to support the drafting of position papers.
• Supporting ad-hoc requests for insights and analysis when required.

• Experience with environmental data, disclosures and/or transition planning, especially where this relates to preparation and use by the financial sector.
• Background in environment, GHG and/or financial accounting and current issues related with these disciplines, and the ability and willingness to rapidly develop a high level of knowledge.
• Data analysis experience and proficiency with Excel and PowerBI, Python or R desirable; GIS proficiency a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including a high standard of written English, with previous experience of producing written research outputs; preferably for a corporate audience.
