About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative Chemical Research Engineer to join their dedicated R&D team in East London . This role is focused on exploring and developing new chemical products and processes, pushing the boundaries of our client's technological capabilities. You will conduct laboratory-scale experiments, analyze results, and contribute to the scale-up of promising technologies. The position requires a strong foundation in chemical principles, a passion for discovery, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a research-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct laboratory research to develop new chemical products and processes.
  • Design and execute experiments, collect and analyze data, and interpret results.
  • Develop and optimize reaction conditions, synthesis routes, and purification methods.
  • Perform literature surveys and stay updated on the latest scientific advancements in the field.
  • Collaborate with chemists, engineers, and technicians to advance research projects.
  • Prepare technical reports, research proposals, and presentations on findings.
Requirements
  • Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
  • Proven experience in chemical research and development, preferably in product or process innovation.
  • Strong understanding of organic chemistry, reaction kinetics, and analytical techniques.
  • Proficiency with laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and safety protocols.
  • Excellent scientific writing and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and manage research projects independently.
