First established in 1828 as a coffee house and chess club, Simpsons grew into a celebrated grande dame, renowned for its roasts carved from silver trolleys, illustrious guests, and rich cultural heritage in theatre, politics and literature. Today, this Grade II listed landmark is being carefully restored, blending timeless tradition with modern hospitality.
