Position: Newbury Racecourse - Barista, Experience Required - 18 (RG14 7NZ)

£13.77 p/hr Would you like to work amongst the action at Newbury Racecourse? You could be a part of the exciting and enthusiastic team of individuals that are the driving force behind delivering exceptional horse racing events. Working in one of these customer-facing roles, you will be involved in the delivery and sales of our delicious range of food and drink to our racecourse guests, balancing efficiency with product knowledge and ensuring customers are greeted with a smile.

You will be working effectively alongside chefs, managers, and other employees of Newbury Racecourse to ensure a smooth delivery of service, to our guests. We have some important racing throughout the year to choose from, along with Corporate Events. Please see below for the 2024/2025 Newbury race season. Race Days:
November 2025: 5th and 27th-28th November December 2025: 16th and 29th December January 2026: 20th January February 2026: 13th, 25th February March 2026: 5th- 6th March April 2026: 2nd - 3rd April and 16th - 17th April Responsibilities:
Be able to prepare speciality drinks orders (latte, mocha, flat white, etc.) using a professional barista machine Cleaning and sanities work utensils and equipment Stock rotation and replenishment Develop an understanding of the product range available (drinks items, dietary needs, menu knowledge) Managing and taking card payments Requirements:
Confidence and compassion when interacting with customers and colleagues Excellent team working skills Effective time management Working in a fast paced environment A driven and dependable approach to work Attention to detail Upbeat, welcoming cheerful personality The ability to remain calm during high-volume periods Previous experience needed Must be over the age of 18 CV required for application Living in the Newbury area Why work with us?
