Role Description

The Senior Sales Assistant is responsible for delivering an exceptional luxury retail experience while driving sales performance, supporting store management, and mentoring junior team members. This role requires excellent customer service skills, advanced product knowledge, strong leadership qualities, attention to detail and the ability to build meaningful customer relationships that reflect the values and standards of Heera Diamonds.

Key Responsibilities Customer Service & Sales Leadership
  • Greet and welcome customers in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Deliver a premium customer experience throughout the entire sales journey.
  • Lead by example in providing exceptional customer service and luxury retail standards.
  • Support Sales Consultants and assist with high-value customer appointments and sales presentations.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and provide personalised recommendations.
  • Assist with customer follow-ups, inquiries, and appointment scheduling.
  • Promote company products, services, warranties, and special promotions.
  • Support management in achieving individual and store sales targets.
  • Identify opportunities to maximise sales and improve customer conversion rates.
Team Support & Leadership
  • Act as a role model for junior sales team members.
  • Assist with onboarding and training new team members.
  • Share product knowledge, sales techniques and best practices with the wider team.
  • Support management in maintaining team performance and customer service standards.
  • Provide guidance and support during busy trading periods.
Product Knowledge
  • Develop and maintain expert knowledge of diamonds, gemstones, jewellery collections, and customisation options.
  • Educate customers on product features, quality, craftsmanship, and care instructions.
  • Stay updated on new product launches, market trends, and industry developments.
  • Support team training initiatives by sharing product knowledge and expertise.
Store Operations
  • Ensure merchandise displays are clean, organised, and visually appealing.
  • Assist with inventory management, stock replenishment, stock counts, and stock accuracy.
  • Support opening and closing store procedures.
  • Maintain showroom cleanliness and presentation standards.
  • Ensure all security procedures are followed when handling jewellery and valuable merchandise.
  • Support management in maintaining operational efficiency and compliance with company policies.
Administrative Duties
  • Accurately update customer information and CRM records.
  • Assist with preparing quotations, invoices, and customer documentation.
  • Manage appointment calendars and customer records.
  • Support management with daily operational tasks, reporting, and sales administration.
Customer Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain long‑term relationships with customers.
  • Conduct follow‑up calls, emails, and messages to support sales opportunities.
  • Encourage repeat business and referrals through outstanding service.
  • Handle customer concerns professionally and resolve issues where appropriate.
  • Escalate complex customer matters to management when required.
Performance Expectations
  • Consistently achieve and exceed individual sales targets.
  • Contribute to overall store sales performance and profitability.
  • Support the achievement of team sales objectives and KPIs.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings.
  • Achieve appointment conversion and follow‑up targets.
