This is a full-time, on-site Merchandiser role based at our retail offices in Barwell Business Park, Chessington. The successful candidate will support the Head of Buying and Merchandising executing the retail strategy, with particular focus on maximising sales through range building with the Buyer, accurate record-keeping, analysis, planning, stock exit strategy and the adequate availability of product across all categories in all retail channels (stadium stores, and wholesale).
Rolerequirements
- 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Educated to degree level
- This role is onsite so must live a commutable distance from the office location at Barwell Business Park.
- Excellence in commercial awareness.
- Excellent data analysis skills and confidence working with numbers.
- Strong I.T. skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and an aptitude for learning new systems.
- Thrives under pressure and meets tight deadlines with quality results.
- Strong understanding and demonstrable experience of relationship building.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and decision‑making skills.
- An ability to work well and maintain focus, accuracy, and pace under pressure.

Ideally, the successful candidate will also have:
- Experience building relationships with external partners and suppliers.
- E‑commerce experience and space planning.
- An active interest in retail sports and the football industry
- An understanding of cultural differences and how this can impact working relationships.
- An interest in globalisation, and how events in another part of the world can affect how business is carried out.
- Experience of working in a fast‑paced retail environment.
Enhancing retail sales through detailed analysis and increasing department efficiency by optimising inventory. Collaborating with internal stakeholders, suppliers, manufacturers, and stores to ensure the proper execution of sales plans. Collaborating with internal departments, creating and organising promotions and advertising campaigns, to enhance the customer journey and reduce inventory. Work with the Store Manager to enhance store layouts and customer experience, as well as optimise the visual strategy of the e‑commerce platforms.
The following is a non‑exhaustive list of the responsibilities of the role:
- Work with the Buyer to build relevant ranges across all product categories, including providing administrative support as required.
- Develop a deep understanding of the Fulham FC Buying calendar, critical path and supplier quantity deadlines.
- Maintain supplier relationships and support the buyer in price negotiations
- Prepare weekly and ad hoc reports as required for circulation to relevant departments.
- Support the Head of Buying and Merchandising with range reviews to build future product ranges.
- Responsible for ordering and monitoring all personalisation to ensure optimum stock levels as required throughout the season.
- Analysing sales reports and actioning plans directed by the Head of Buying and Merchandising for best sellers, worst sellers, and negative stock levels.
- Sales reporting by store space and linear for effective space utilisation, category performance, strategic planning and decision making as well as inventory optimisation.
