Responsibilities
- Collect stock from the warehouse using heavy roll cages (up to 15kg) to replenish a variety of items across the store, keeping shelves clean, tidy and full of well‑presented products.
- Serve customers brilliantly when the store is open, supporting them with any questions and proactively offering help.
- Check dates on fresh produce and grocery products.
- Help across the store as needed and support deliveries.
- Build deep knowledge of products, services and promotions to provide informed recommendations to customers.
- Happy working overnight in a fast‑paced, physical and high‑energy environment, often on your own but also able to thrive as part of a team.
- Friendly and welcoming with genuine enthusiasm for helping customers.
- Takes responsibility for owning tasks and uses initiative to solve problems.
- Always prepared to work flexibly and productively across the store to a high standard, with opportunities to learn and try new skills.
- Comfortable learning to use new digital tools and technology to do your job brilliantly.
- Has great attention to detail, keeping the store clean and clutter‑free to create the best shopping experience for customers.
- Night‑shift premium: £2.45 per hour worked between midnight and 5am (where applicable).
- Discount card: 10% off at Sainsbury’s, Argos, Tu, and Habitat after four weeks, increasing to 15% discount at Sainsbury’s on Fridays and Saturdays.
