We are currently seeking a full-time Showroom Assistant to join the Max Mara Wholesale Showroom team at our London Head Office, with an immediate start for a 5 month FTC.
This is a fast‑paced and hands‑on role within a dynamic team where no two days are the same. We're looking for someone who enjoys being part of a collaborative environment, takes pride in delivering excellent standards, and brings a positive, enthusiastic attitude to everything they do. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain insight into the luxury wholesale business and develop valuable industry experience.
MainResponsibilities Supporting In-Market Activities
- Setting up the showrooms for campaign alongside the Sales and Visual Merchandising teams.
- Supporting Sales Managers with client orders during campaign, including tracking changes on buy sheets, entering provisional orders and assisting with any related administrative activities.
- Assisting the Showroom Manager with sample inventory, showroom set‑up and pack‑down.
- Supporting appointments where required alongside the Sales Managers.
- Purchase Order checking throughout campaign alongside the Logistics team.
- Offering refreshments and managing hospitality for clients, meetings and events, ensuring a welcoming showroom experience at all times.
- Supporting the Showroom Manager with staff training, Press Days, sample management and ongoing projects including events and research.
- Managing sample movement alongside the Showroom Manager.
- Front‑of‑house duties including welcoming guests and handling telephone enquiries.
- Ensuring showroom presentation and standards are maintained at all times.
- Providing ad hoc support across the Retail, Logistics, E‑Commerce and Press teams as required.
- Strong planning and organisational skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of the business.
- Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise and manage a demanding and ever‑changing workload.
- Positive, enthusiastic and proactive, with a genuine willingness to support colleagues and contribute to the wider team.
- A collaborative team player who is equally comfortable working independently when required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Resourceful, resilient and confident solving problems independently.
- Eager to learn, curious about the wholesale fashion industry and motivated to develop new skills and knowledge.

- Previous customer‑facing experience is essential (retail or hospitality preferred).
This role follows standard business hours; however, during busy campaign periods and key business events, some flexibility with start and finish times may occasionally be required. Where possible, notice will always be given, and flexibility is appreciated as part of supporting the wider team during peak trading periods.
