We're looking for one enthusiastic, customer-focused person to join our Plant Area team on a fulltime, permanent basis.

With over 110 years of horticultural heritage, Coolings is one of the South East's leading independent garden centre groups, with four centres across Kent and East Sussex. Known as "The Place to Gofor Plants", we're passionate about quality plants, outstanding customer service and creating an enjoyable shopping experience for every customer.

As a Plant Sales Assistant, you'll be part of a friendly team helping customers choose the right plants while keeping our plant area looking its very best.

This is a hands-on, active role. You'll spend your time working with quality plants, creating inspiring displays and delivering excellent customer service.

Duties will include:

Greeting and assisting customers with plant enquiries and offering friendly, knowledgeable advice

Help reduce plant wastage while creating sales opportunities through excellent customer service.

Maintaining attractive, well-stocked plant displays Watering and caring for plants to ensure they remain healthy and well-presented Working with colleagues to maintain the high standards Coolings is known for

You'll enjoy working with people, have a positive attitude and be keen to provide excellent customer service. Previous retail or horticultural experience is helpful but not essential, as we're looking for someone with enthusiasm, reliability and a willingness to learn.

The role is physically active, so you'll need to be comfortable working on your feet. You'll also need tobe available to work alternate weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis, and have your own transport as public transport to our centre is limited
