Salary: Negotiable

Hours: Monday to Friday 6:30am to 4:30pm, alternative Saturdays 7:00am to 4:00pm

About The Role:

Join the team of a well-established, family-owned builders merchant. We're looking for a friendly and knowledgeable Hardware Counter Supervisor to provide excellent customer service and ensure the smooth running of this busy trade counter.

Responsibilities:

• Provide a warm, professional welcome to all customers, offering knowledgeable advice and assistance.
• Manage in-store deliveries, both incoming and outgoing.
• Handle telephone enquiries promptly and communicate effectively with both customers and team members.
• Process customer orders and assist with stock replenishment.
• Respond positively and efficiently to customer requirements.
• Support periodic stock counts as needed.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in delivering exceptional customer service
• A can do attitude
• Strong knowledge of hardware products and building materials
• Good communication skills with a confident, customer-first approach
• A team player who thrives in a busy, fast-paced environment
• Ability to manage tasks efficiently and remain motivated under pressure
