Job Description

Location: Eastbury, Northwood, HA6 3HP

Hours: 40 hours per week, working 5 days over 7
Contract: Full Time
Rate of Pay: £13.45 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a friendly and customer-focused Shop Assistant to join our retail team at Eastbury, Northwood
. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment, delivering excellent customer service, and helping to create a welcoming shopping experience for every customer.

What you'll be doing

  • Serving customers and providing a friendly, professional service
  • Processing transactions and payments accurately through the till system
  • Keeping shelves fully stocked and ensuring displays are well presented
  • Receiving deliveries and managing stock levels effectively
  • Monitoring product availability and reporting stock shortages where necessary
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and tidy retail environment
  • Following food hygiene, health and safety, and company procedures at all times
  • Supporting the opening and closing of the retail unit
  • Assisting with merchandising and promotional displays
  • Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer satisfaction
Qualifications

What we're looking for

  • Previous retail or customer service experience is desirable but not essential
  • Full training will be provided
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and occasionally on your own
  • Positive, enthusiastic, and reliable approach to work
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy retail environment
  • Flexible approach to working hours and business needs
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of service and presentation
Additional Information

Additional Requirements

  • Must have lived in the UK for the past 3 years
  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK
  • Must be able to successfully pass full security vetting
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DBS check
