Sales Manager - Freight Forwarding

Looking for a Sales Manager - Japanese Speaking to lead business development and account management activities focused on sea freight forwarding and shipping line coordination
.

This role involves managing relationships with clients and shipping lines, optimizing freight routes, and ensuring smooth cargo operations in coordination with our logistics and operations teams.

Location:

CBD / 8:30~17:30 M-F

• Develop and manage business relationships with existing and new clients in the manufacturing, trading, and logistics sectors.
• Coordinate with multiple shipping lines to negotiate freight rates, schedules, and service terms.
• Propose optimal shipping solutions and logistics routes based on client needs, cost, and delivery timelines.
• Collaborate closely with internal logistics, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure smooth cargo movement.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and freight rate fluctuations to support strategic sales decisions.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, and contracts, ensuring compliance with company and customer requirements.
• Contribute to monthly and quarterly sales targets and provide accurate sales forecasts.

• Minimum 5 years' experience of Sales in freight forwarding
  , NVOCC
  , or logistics sales
  , preferably with exposure to ocean freight
  .
• Strong understanding of shipping line operations, rate negotiation, and freight coordination.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with both clients and shipping carriers.
• Proactive, analytical, and detail-oriented with strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Business-level English;
  Japanese proficiency will be required (to liaise with regional clients).
