Today, delivery is contractor‑led. The work is solid, but the structure needs to evolve. Our goal is to rebuild the agency into a stable, scalable business with predictable revenue — so we can confidently hire full‑time staff again and grow the right way.
This role is central to that mission.
The roleWe’re looking for a Founding Commercial Director to work directly with the founder to rebuild the commercial engine of the agency.
This is not a plug‑and‑play sales role.
It’s a senior, hands‑on position for someone who wants to shape revenue strategy, close deals, and help define what the agency becomes next.
You’ll own new business, partnerships, positioning, and deal strategy — with real influence over how the agency evolves.
What you’ll do Revenue & New Business- Own end-to-end business development
- Generate and qualify new opportunities
- Close mid- to large‑ticket agency engagements
- Build a predictable, high‑quality pipeline
- Protect margins and deal quality
- Lead or co‑lead bids and proposals
- Shape scopes and pricing with delivery realities in mind
- Prevent over‑promising and under‑pricing
- Improve proposal and bid processes over time
- Shape and refine service offerings
- Reduce reliance on “custom everything”
- Influence pricing and commercial strategy
- Work with the founder to stabilise revenue
- Help determine when contractors should transition to full‑time hires
- Feed hiring decisions with revenue confidence
- Act as a commercial bridge between sales and delivery
- Day‑to‑day delivery management
- Running marketing execution
- Acting as a shadow CEO
- Senior experience in agency or B2B services sales
- A track record of closing complex, custom engagements
- Experience writing or leading bids and proposals
- Strong commercial judgement (knowing when to say no)
- An existing professional network they can activate
- Comfort operating in ambiguity and rebuild phases
- Commission‑only sales profiles
- SaaS AEs without services experience
- Pure outbound or lead‑gen specialists
- People who want a rigid, pre‑defined role
This role is structured for long‑term alignment, not short‑term deal chasing:
- Competitive senior base salary
