Account Executive – SMB Cloud Services

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 - with up to £90,000 OTE

Location:

London (2 days in the office)

The Role

As an Account Executive focused on the SMB segment, you will support high-growth, technically complex businesses as they adopt and expand their use of cloud platforms. This role is centred on new business acquisition and account development, acting as a key driver of revenue growth through identifying opportunities, building strong client relationships, and positioning our consulting services as a strategic partner to our customers.

You will work closely with a leading public cloud provider and internal technical teams to help customers maximise value from their cloud investment and accelerate their growth plans.

Key Responsibilities

* Identify, prospect, and secure new customer opportunities within the SMB market

* Build and develop relationships with both new and existing clients

* Consistently achieve and exceed revenue and activity targets

* Work closely with strategic cloud partners to drive joint opportunities and shared success

* Educate prospects and customers on cloud services, benefits, and best-practice adoption

* Design and propose tailored cloud strategies that support scalability, agility, and long-term growth

* Collaborate with internal sales, marketing, and delivery teams to drive effective client engagement

* Stay informed on market trends, cloud developments, and competitor offerings

* Continuously develop product knowledge and sales capability through training and self-learning

* Share customer insights and feedback to support ongoing refinement of messaging and value propositions

Experience & Skills

* Foundational understanding of cloud computing and the wider technology ecosystem

* Experience in new logo acquisition and cross-selling within a services-led environment

* Background working with technology-focused businesses

* Strong communication and relationship-building skills

* Proven ability to articulate value propositions and influence decision-makers

* Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously

* Comfortable working autonomously while contributing effectively to a wider team

* Professional, customer-focused, and results-driven

* Adaptable and resilient, with the ability to thrive in a fast-growing, evolving organisation
