Job Description Job Purpose
The Sales Specialist will play a key role in driving new business for ICE’s Sustainable Finance and Climate Data solutions across EMEA, while also supporting senior team members in complex sales engagements. This role combines technical knowledge with commercial skills to help identify opportunities, deliver product demonstrations, and contribute to the overall success of the sales team. The Sales Specialist will actively prospect, qualify leads, and manage opportunities independently, while assisting on other deals.
ResponsibilitiesSales Execution:
- Drive new sales by prospecting, qualifying, and managing opportunities within an assigned territory.
- Support team in proposals, trials, and negotiations for strategic accounts.
- Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and assist with forecasting.
Client Engagement:
- Deliver product demonstrations and presentations to clients, positioning ICE’s Sustainable Finance & Climate solutions effectively.
- Participate in client meetings and industry events to build relationships and generate leads.
Market Awareness & Feedback:
- Develop and maintain knowledge of sustainability frameworks (TCFD, TNFD), climate, nature, sustainable finance, and related market trends.
- Gather client feedback and share insights with product teams to inform roadmap development.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams on campaigns, webinars, and lead generation initiatives.
- Contribute to thought leadership and event preparation as needed.
- Experience in sustainability, climate, or financial data solutions preferred; strong interest in sustainable finance required.
- Ability to manage sales opportunities and support complex deals.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree required;
Master’s preferred. - Fluency in English; additional European languages a plus.
- Willingness to travel within EMEA.
