Tcomplex commercial insurance industry into the 21st century. We’re doing that by growing our two-sided Exchange platform, which connects brokers and insurers to algorithmically trade insurance risks in a data-driven way.
After signing up our first partners in late 2022, we’ve since processed $100M+ of premium with 27 broking houses and 22 insurers. We’re targeting $1B of premium to flow through our Exchange by the end of 2027.

The Role
We’re looking for an energetic and ambitious Commercial manager to join our high-performing commercial team to bring growth to our data-driven Exchange by supporting new sales and nurturing existing customers with the central goal of reaching our ambitious premium traded targets.
Responsibilities
- Lead account management of existing clients and proactively identify issues or opportunities.
- Contribute to lead generation and maintaining a healthy pipeline through market contacts and knowledge of the Insur
X offering. Take ownership of the sales pipeline maintenance, constantly updating and adding to the roadmap. - Pursue a results driven approach for Insur
X's collective targets. Focus on prospecting and cultivating relationships across the insurance industry with a view to identifying new product opportunities and growth of existing verticals. - Support sales effort by coordinating data work and contractual agreements with our clients.
- Continually be looking to scale and expand existing opportunities. Actively listen to customer feedback and propose effective solutions using the Exchange's data and technology.
- Contribute to the development of the Commercial team's marketing collateral and positioning in the market.
- Contribute to Insur
X’s platform design through feedback from the market and personal experience. - Represent Insur
X at various industry conferences and events. - Collaborate with team members to constantly enhance the collective ability of the team.
- Proven ability to contribute to sales and manage clients in a B2B environment whilst thinking how to maximising Insur
X’s value to current and prospective clients. This includes supporting generation, leading account management and executing on live deals. - Proven ability to nurture and maintain market relationships on both broker and underwriter sides of our market. This includes delivering difficult messages and drawing value from these relationships.
- 5+ years' experience in the London insurance market.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Be able to communicate with internal and external stakeholders up to C-suite level.
- Bring a motivated and self-starter attitude to your role - you'll take ownership of your own success and will be empowered to do so.
- Share your knowledge and experience to the mutual success and development of the team.
- Be adaptable to a constantly changing landscape - we're looking to change the market so you need to be able to pivot and flex dynamically to deliver to a moving target.
- Effective prioritisation. You’ll have a lot of competing opportunities and priorities – it’s important you are proactive in validating both yours and the teams’ targets to maximise revenue opportunity.
