Purpose Of

The Role

To work with the Buff founders and an exceptional sales team, developing deals with Broadcasters, Rights Holders, Clubs/Franchises and Federations from around the world. You will drive revenue within existing client relationships and create new ways to monetize opportunities with new Partners that you will help bring on board. This is an early-employee opportunity to become a key part of the company.

Tasks Of

The Role
  • Deliver an exciting and dynamic Go To Market plan, hands-on with the Founders and the sales team
  • Manage a high-volume sales pipeline, filter prospects and create valuable deals
  • Engage with and upsell existing partners leveraging scale and revenue through creative solutions
  • Create compelling presentations with proposals aligned to customers’ needs
  • Respond to RFPs from partners within and outside Sport Buff’s portfolio
  • Provide support and expertise in pitch proposal production and delivery
  • Align with Legal on the contract process and Finance on revenue collection
  • Attend sports/media industry conventions (e.g., Sportel, Soccerex, NAB) as an ambassador for Sport Buff, identifying opportunities and sales leads
  • Manage multi-season contracts with renewals
  • Understand and be willing to work around sports hours, including weekends
Skills And Abilities

Required
  • 3-5 years of business development experience
  • Experience selling to broadcasters, rights holders, media organisations, sponsors, teams and franchises is a bonus
  • Experience selling sports technology or SaaS solutions is a bonus
  • Strong people skills and networking abilities
  • Proactive, self-starting with ability to work independently and in a team
  • Excellent presentation skills and interest in developing technologies and solutions
  • Track record of exceeding sales targets
  • Experience working with Hubspot or similar pipeline tools is a bonus
  • Genuine love of sport and how it is covered
  • Ability to monitor industry trends and pivot strategy as needed
  • Understanding of media monitoring, insight and data reporting including audience profiling
  • Willingness and ability to travel (when appropriate)

Remuneration: Competitive base salary plus commission/bonus (on initial deals and renewals) plus benefits and equity
