Are you passionate about building relationships and driving business growth with global strategic clients? As a Sales Associate for Global Strategic Accounts (GSAs) at S&P Dow Jones Indices, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the full sales cycle, managing interactions with key accounts, and identifying new opportunities. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver exceptional service, enhance the sales process, and contribute to the overall sales strategy.
Responsibilitiesand Impact:
A successful candidate will support our GSA Team colleagues throughout the life cycle of a sale and support the ongoing maintenance and expansion of the relationship with our Global Strategic Accounts. This includes:
- Partnering with our Sales and Client Services team to drive customer satisfaction and adoption within existing accounts by providing proactive support and resolving inquiries promptly. You will respond to and process inquiries via Salesforce, including (but not limited to):
- New licensing and license checks
- Client billing & reporting
- Client renewals and usage statistics
- Existing client maintenance and day‑to‑day user care
- Utilize product knowledge to resolve incoming analytical queries, collaborating with the Client Experience Team and Index Production Groups to ensuring a prompt and complete response is provided to the client
- Sales Process Support:
- Collaborate with the Client Coverage Team to provide comprehensive support in the management of sales deals - including Data, IP, and Custom opportunities - overseeing agreement drafting and negotiation with internal and external legal teams.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of leads and client interactions in CRM systems, ensuring data integrity for analysis and reporting.
- Account Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a primary point of contact to understand client needs, manage expectations, and ensure positive, seamless interactions in line with company service standards and strategic goals.
- Oversee and optimize the regional portfolio to enhance customer satisfaction, loyalty, and long‑term retention, proactively resolving complex issues and complaints efficiently.
- Align solutions to client requirements and participate in pre‑sale meetings to ensure service offerings meet client needs.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to customer experience and satisfaction, relaying client feedback and insights to relevant teams to support ongoing product and service improvements.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal teams such as Finance, Product Management, Data Product Management, Client Coverage, Client Services, Pricing Governance, and Legal to ensure seamless sales operations and coordinated strategies.
- Hold weekly meetings with GSA Team Representatives to provide relevant statistics, KPIs, and updates on key regional/global initiatives
- Lead Identification & Sales Strategy:
- Identify and qualify potential leads through research and outreach, contributing to a robust pipeline of opportunities.
- Assist in preparing sales materials and presentations that effectively communicate S&P Dow Jones Indices’ value proposition.
- Collaborate with the GSA Team to develop and implement tailored sales strategies that support both client goals and company objectives.
- Proactively identify opportunities for upselling and cross‑selling within existing accounts.

- Work on both sales and strategic projects that assist with general workflow efficiencies and business growth.
