Specification Sales Manager, New Build

Field based covering the Southeast of England.

Base salary up to £47k subject to skills and experience, plus sales bonus, company car and other benefits to be discussed on application.

Position Summary

Join a High-Performing Team, Driving Innovation in New Build Specification.

As a key member of our New Build Sales team, reporting directly to the National Sales Manager, you’ll shape how Mira’s innovative solutions are understood and adopted across the specification chain. You will identify opportunities, convert new business and nurture long‑term partnerships to drive revenue and profitability targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build, manage and convert a rolling 1–5 year pipeline for your area through identification of key business opportunities (existing and new) within the New Build sector.
  • Manage strategic customers, build account plans for future business and drive collaboration between the business and customers across multiple functions.
  • Diagnose customer needs, leverage pricing and after‑sales proposals to build compelling customer proposals that deliver measurable ROI.
  • Build trust and develop collaborative relationships with customers and colleagues at all stages of the specification chain; lead and manage customer relationships to drive positive outcomes for the UK business.
  • Develop market insight by staying informed on market trends, regional variations, legislation and ESG priorities; use this knowledge to engage stakeholders and position Mira as a forward‑thinking, compliant partner.
  • Leverage social media for market engagement; create and share on‑brand, educational content on platforms such as Linked In to promote innovation and reinforce Mira’s thought‑leadership.
  • Fully utilise the existing CRM system to manage customers, pipeline, project tracking and reporting.
  • Build monthly forecasts based on pipeline conversion to drive accuracy in demand‑planning.
  • Communicate internally across relevant functions, providing robust market, customer and competitor feedback to inform commercial decision‑making.
Skills & Requirements
  • Proven Sales Experience – demonstrated success in a field‑based B2B sales role, ideally within a technically led specification environment.
  • Good understanding of the New Build Bathroom sectors and/or Building Services.
  • Strong foundational understanding of sustainability principles and their practical impact within the New Build housing sector.
  • Preferable: Selling a product solution into New Build and understanding key tender process factors.
  • Proven experience delivering consultative sales strategies across all stakeholder levels within both Developer and Merchant channels.
  • Proactive approach to lead and appointment generation.
  • Building and converting a long‑term (1–5 year) project pipeline.
  • CRM management including pipeline management, call and activity logging.
  • Skilled in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
  • Energetic, customer‑centric team player who builds trust and rapport to establish relationships quickly and proactively builds a pipeline of new business.
  • Tenacious, driven and competitive.
  • Clean, full driving licence required.
  • Sales skills:
    • Proficient in lead generation using cold calling, emailing, telemarketing, networking and digital outreach.
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills for building and maintaining strong developer relationships.
    • Good negotiation and upselling skills, leveraging competitor insights to secure win‑win agreements.
    • Proven track record of closing sales deals and guiding prospects through the sales process to successful closure.
    • Effective follow‑up with prospects and clients using CRM tools to ensure satisfaction and retention.
    • Analytical mindset to analyse market data and trends, aligning sales strategies with business objectives.
