Overview

At Argos, we are building a Marketplace that gives customers more choice, better value and access to a constantly evolving range of products. This Seller Acquisition Lead role sits right at the centre of that, responsible for finding, attracting and onboarding high‑quality sellers who strengthen our categories and accelerate Marketplace growth.

Responsibilities
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of potential sellers, identifying partners who align to priority categories and can bring real value to the Marketplace.
  • Lead outreach activity, developing clear and compelling ways to engage sellers and explain the Argos Marketplace proposition.
  • From first conversation through to go‑live, manage the end‑to‑end seller journey, ensuring onboarding is smooth, efficient and delivers a strong first experience.
  • Work closely with teams across Commercial, Product and Operations to coordinate onboarding activity, remove blockers and keep sellers moving through the pipeline at pace.
  • Track performance across key metrics including pipeline health, conversion rates and time to activation, using data to identify opportunities and continuously improve how we acquire and onboard sellers.
  • Play a key role in shaping and evolving the acquisition and onboarding approach, helping to simplify processes and improve the overall seller experience as we scale.
Qualifications
  • Experience in business development, sales or partner acquisition within eCommerce, retail or a digital marketplace.
  • Strong understanding of online retail and third‑party seller models.
  • Commercially aware, with the ability to influence and build strong partnerships.
  • Experience managing pipelines, priorities and delivery in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data to drive decisions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working cross‑functionally to deliver business outcomes.
Benefits
  • Colleague discount: 10% on your shopping online and in‑store at Sainsbury’s, Argos, TU and Habitat, with opportunities to increase to 15% at points during the year.
  • Pensions scheme and life cover.
  • Performance‑related bonus of up to 10% of salary, depending on company performance.
  • Annual holiday allowance with the option to buy up to an additional week of holiday.
  • Season ticket loans, cycle‑to‑work scheme, health cash plans, salary advance, and access to discounts from hundreds of retailers.
  • Employee assistance programme.
  • Up to 26 weeks’ pay for maternity or adoption leave and up to 4 weeks’ pay for paternity leave.
  • Flexible working arrangements.

We are committed to being a truly inclusive retailer, welcoming applicants regardless of background and ensuring an inclusive workplace for all.
