As a Sales Manager, you will play a key role in driving business growth by expanding DESMI's presence within the Industry & Utility segment. You will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and managing the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing.
Your Primary Responsibilities Include- Drive sales growth:
Develop and execute sales activities that support the Industry & Utility strategy and contribute to increasing sales of DESMI's pump solutions across key industry applications, including District Heating & Cooling, Data Centers, Waste-to-Energy & CHP, Chemicals & Process Industry, HVAC, Desalination, Wastewater, and Leisure Industries. - Business development:
Identify, approach, and develop relationships with new customers across OEMs, EPCs, machine builders, production facilities, utilities, distributors, and service companies, creating new business opportunities in markets where DESMI is not yet represented. - Sales execution:
Manage the full sales process from lead qualification and opportunity development to technical discussions, commercial negotiations, and successful closing. Apply solution-selling techniques to create value for customers while achieving sales and margin targets. - Customer engagement:
Build long-term customer relationships by understanding technical requirements, operational challenges, and business needs. Position DESMI as a trusted advisor by delivering technically and commercially sound solutions. - Sales pipeline & CRM management:
Maintain a structured sales pipeline through accurate forecasting, opportunity management, lead qualification, and up-to-date CRM records to ensure visibility and effective sales planning. - Cross-functional collaboration:
Work closely with Sales Support, Project & Engineering, Order Management, and Vertical Teams to deliver customer solutions. Collaborate across Northwest Europe on OEM, EPC, and machine builder projects as well as framework agreements. - Market insights & representation:
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer developments to identify growth opportunities. Represent DESMI at exhibitions, customer meetings, and training sessions while strengthening DESMI's position in the market.
As someone who will join our Sales team, we are looking for a proactive and results-driven Sales Manager with strong commercial acumen and a passion for developing new business opportunities. You are motivated by building customer relationships, identifying growth potential, and creating long-term value for both customers and DESMI.
We Also Imagine That You- Have a technical background.
- Have worked with B2B with technical sales before.
- Great advantage if you have worked with Centrifugal Pumps and have a network within District Heating, Cooling or OEM suppliers for Data Centers.
