Job Description & How to Apply Below
Whether you already have experience in agricultural sales or you're looking to move into a commercial role from a farming background, we'd love to hear from you. This is much more than a sales role. It's about becoming a trusted adviser to farming businesses, developing long-term partnerships, and helping customers make informed decisions that support the success of their farms.
What You'll Be Doing As a Farm Business Manager, you'll be given the tools, support and training to develop a successful career within the agricultural sector.
Your role will include:
• Building strong relationships with existing farming customers and developing new business opportunities
• Advising farmers on grain marketing opportunities and helping them navigate changing markets
• Purchasing grain, oilseeds, pulses and other crops from customers
• Selling seed, fertiliser and a range of agricultural inputs and services
• Identifying opportunities to add value and support customers' businesses
• Keeping up to date with agricultural markets and industry developments
• Working closely with an experienced commercial team who will support your development and success
• Growing your customer base through networking, referrals and proactive business development What We're Looking For We're looking for people who genuinely enjoy working with farmers and building relationships. You'll ideally have:
• A passion for agriculture and the farming industry
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Commercial awareness and a customer-focused approach
• Good planning and organisational skills
• Self-motivation and the drive to succeed
• Resilience and determination in a target-driven environment
• Sales experience would be beneficial but is not essential
• A FACTS qualification would be advantageous but is not essential Most importantly, we're looking for someone with enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, and the ambition to build a rewarding career within agriculture. What's On Offer
• Competitive salary and bonuses
• Company car or car allowance
• Private medical insurance
• Pension scheme with employer contributions
• Life assurance
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
• Employee Assistance Programme for you and your family
• Ongoing training and career development
• The opportunity to work alongside experienced agricultural professionals and build a long-term career Why Apply? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and respected agricultural business where people are genuinely passionate about supporting British farming. You'll be trusted to manage your own customer relationships, given the freedom to grow your territory, and supported every step of the way by a knowledgeable and experienced team.
If you have a farming background, an interest in agricultural sales, or simply want to build a career where no two days are the same, we'd love to hear from you.
