What you’ll be doing Making outbound sales calls and following up on inbound enquiries Speaking to potential new customers and identifying new business opportunities Building and managing your own sales pipeline Learning how to sell freight forwarding and logistics solutions Understanding customer needs and turning conversations into business Handling objections confidently and professionally Researching customers, markets and new opportunities Working closely with your manager and team to develop deals and win new business What we’re looking for Some previous telesales, lead generation or targeted sales experience A confident and motivated communicator who enjoys speaking to people Someone ambitious, driven and hungry to build a career in sales A positive attitude and willingness to learn Resilience, self-motivation and a target-focused mindset Good communication skills and a professional approach Logistics or freight sales experience is helpful, but not essential What you’ll get £25,000 min basic neg if more experience Commission bonus from day one Quarterly commission structure Cash incentives available Full training and ongoing development Support and coaching from your manager A fun, energetic sales floor environment Quarterly company events David Lloyd membership discount A clear progression path with increasing salary and earning potential Career Progression One of the biggest benefits of joining this business is the clear career path on offer.
You’ll start as a Trainee Business Development Manager, where you’ll learn the industry, build your sales skills and work towards your first target. From there, progression is based on performance:
Trainee Business Development Manager – learn the role, build your pipeline and develop your sales skills Sales Executive – increase your salary, grow your commission and take ownership of bigger opportunities Senior Sales Executive – continue building revenue, growing accounts and maximising your earnings Head of Desk – run your own desk, build your own team and create a high-performing sales function As you hit targets and progress through each stage, your basic salary increases, your commission structure improves, and you move closer to the long-term goal of running your own desk with full support, training and guidance from your manager.
