About the UN Global Compact Network UK:

We are a dynamic multi-stakeholder initiative, dedicated to connecting UK companies to the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest responsible business initiative. The Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, rooted in UN treaties, provide a robust foundation and comprehensive framework for corporate sustainability and business action on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Who we are looking for:

Must-haves
  • Business development experience: Experience in consultative sales, business development, or growth roles within professional services, sustainability advisory, or a corporate commercial function, with a track record of managing sales cycles and long-term account relationships.
  • Sustainability expertise: Knowledge of corporate sustainability, with the credibility to engage C‑suite and senior business leaders and translate sustainability topics into compelling business propositions.
  • Communication and external presence: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to present to senior audiences, lead external sessions, and represent the organisation credibly at events and in partner relationships.
  • Data, analytics, and reporting: Comfortable working in Salesforce and Excel, with high standards for pipeline hygiene, data accuracy, and the ability to produce clear growth reports and forecasts for senior leadership.
  • People management: Experience line managing and developing individuals in a target-driven environment, with an inclusive and motivating leadership style.

  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills, able to build buy‑in internally and externally.
