Job Description
Job Description: The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving company growth by identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and developing strategies to increase revenue and market share. The role typically involves researching market trends, generating leads, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with multiple teams to achieve business objectives. The Business Development Manager may represent our organization at networking events, industry conferences, and client meetings, while monitoring emerging market opportunities.

- Researching target markets and industry trends
- Identifying potential clients, partners and revenue streams
- Developing strategies to enter new markets
- Client Acquisition and Growth
- Building and maintaining a pipeline of prospective customers
- Networking through industry events, conferences, and business associations
- Conducting outreach through calls, emails, Linked In, and meetings
- Converting leads into long-term clients
- Management of client relationships
- Developing strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
- Understanding client needs and business challenges
- Managing key accounts and ensuring client satisfaction
- Strategic planning
- Creating business development strategies aligned with company goals
- Setting revenue targets and growth objectives
- Supporting senior management with growth recommendations
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, account management, or partnership management
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding revenue and growth targets
- Experience managing the full sales cycle (prospecting, contract negotiating, closing)
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Strategic thinking
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience building and maintaining relationships with senior leaders/management
- Experience in the UK and European music rights market
- Established professional network within the industry
- Knowledge of market research and competitive analysis
Salary Range: £57,000 - £63,000 plus bonus
Position is full-time. Hybrid work environment (min. 2 days per week on-site). Office location near Chancery Lane tube station in London.
