The Team
:
Sustainable1s Commercial team is at the forefront of expanding and deepening client relationships in the climate and sustainability space. We operate with a strategic vision to drive revenue growth while helping clients enhance their climate and sustainability initiatives.

The Impact: We are looking for an account manager to cover key accounts in the Continental European region. The role focuses on both renewal sales and new business sales (greenfield sales) and requires a good knowledge of the full suite of Sustainable1 suite of products and services (Trucost Environmental Physical Risk Nature & Biodiversity Labelled Bonds Transition Capex Climanomics Climate Credit Analytics CSA as a Service CSA Benchmarking Services Capital IQ Pro ESG etc.).

This role would be based ideally out of London (25 Ropemaker Street) with responsibilities for accounts located in Germany Austria Switzerland CZ Poland the Baltic states Caucasus and Central Asia.

Responsibilities and Impact:

  • Drive revenue retention and growth through strategic account management of key sustainability clients in assigned portfolio

  • Develop and execute comprehensive account plans aligned with client strategic priorities and S&P Globals sustainability product suite

  • Identify and pursue cross-sell and upsell opportunities

  • Build and maintain relationships with new personas within client organizations to expand engagement and deepen partnerships in close collaboration with new business sales specialists

  • Serve as trusted advisor by presenting insights and recommendations to enhance clients sustainability initiatives and optimize current product usage

  • Represent S1 at sustainability industry events including webinars round tables and conferences while serving as commercial liaison to other teams

What Were Looking For:

Basic

Required Qualifications:

  • An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 2 years of relevant experience in ESG and sustainability solutions customer support sales or relationship management in B2B environments

  • Proven track record of either achieving revenue targets or managing complex client relationships and/or delivery projects

  • Strong understanding of sustainability frameworks and ESG principles (e.g. EBA requirements CSRD SFDR CSDDD ISSB) with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business value propositions

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills including experience leading client meetings product demos and strategic planning sessions

  • Strong working knowledge of CRM systems and prospecting databases (e.g. Salesforce Hub Spot Zoom Info Salesloft or similar) including the ability to maintain accurate client records and manage pipeline activity; familiarity with AI agents is preferred

  • Willingness to travel across Europe for client meetings and to represent the company at relevant industry events

Additional

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of client workflows in the banking and insurance industries

  • Professional certifications in sustainability or ESG (CFA ESG UNEP FI) or relevant industry credentials that enhance credibility as a trusted advisor

  • Fluency in English. Other languages (not mandatory):
    German Russian Polish
