Sales & Event Manager
- The Role

• Manage client relationships from initial enquiry through to event delivery.
• Sell and maximise catering opportunities through upselling and cross-selling.
• Plan, organise and deliver exceptional catering experiences for a wide range of events.
• Create accurate proposals, quotes and event documentation.
• Work closely with operational teams to ensure seamless event delivery.
• Be present at key live events to support clients and resolve any issues.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts, client records and financial information.
• Identify new opportunities and contribute ideas that improve the client experience and grow the business.

What we're looking for

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths; a hospitality or catering qualification is desirable.
• Experience in sales, events, hospitality or catering.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, email and ideally databases and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the confidence to communicate at all levels.
• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Commercial awareness, with an understanding of sales, costs, profitability and opportunities to upsell.
• Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work with a wide range of people.
• Confident, enthusiastic and self-motivated, with a willingness to learn and a proactive, can-do attitude.
• Calm and solutions-focused under pressure, with the ability to meet strict deadlines and manage changing priorities.
• Passion for quality and great service, with a creative approach and flexibility to work event-driven hours, including evenings and weekends.
