German speaking Business Development Manager (FMCG)

A leading international food manufacturer serving retailers, distributors and food service partners in international markets.
Hybrid work: 2 days a week in the office.
OverviewAn exciting opportunity to drive sales growth and expand distribution across Germany by developing strategic partnerships, managing key distributors and identifying new business opportunities within the FMCG sector.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement business development strategies to drive sales growth across Germany.
- Build, manage and strengthen relationships with distributors, retailers, wholesalers and key trade partners.
- Identify new business opportunities through market analysis, consumer insights and competitor research.
- Drive distribution expansion and increase market presence across mainstream retail channels.
- Lead, coach and support field sales teams to deliver objectives and achieve sales targets.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Supply Chain teams to execute effective go‑to‑market strategies to optimise product offerings.
- Monitor sales performance, analyse market trends and provide regular reports and recommendations to senior management.
- Manage business development budgets and support forecasting, planning and international travel to customers and partners as required.
- Fluent in German (written and spoken) essential.
- Experience in FMCG sales or business development, with a strong focus on the German market.
- A proven track record of delivering sales growth through distributor, wholesale or retail channels.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data.
- Proactive, organised and able to work independently.
- Passion for food and the food industry.
- Able to travel to Germany when needed.
Between £35,000 and £50,000 per annum depending on experience, plus bonus and great benefits.
