As Director of Sales, reporting to the Hotel Manager and Cluster General Manager, you will lead the hotel's sales function, taking ownership of the commercial strategy, corporate business development, account management, and revenue generation initiatives. As a key member of the hotel leadership team, you will drive performance, support business growth, and contribute to the overall success of the property

- Provide strategic leadership and day-to-day management of the Sales Department to maximise revenue, market share, and guest satisfaction.
- Lead the corporate sales strategy, taking full ownership of the Corporate, Corporate Group, and Business Travel segments to drive sustainable revenue growth.
- Coach, and develop the Business Development Manager, fostering a high-performance sales culture and succession planning.
- Oversee all sales activities, including lead generation, client engagement, contract negotiations, account management, trade shows, and networking events.
- Work closely with the national accounts management team.

- Develop, maintain, and animate key corporate accounts through proactive relationship management, regular business reviews, and targeted growth strategies.
- Plan, organise, and host familiarisation trips (FAM trips), site inspections, and client events to showcase the hotel and generate new business opportunities.
- Lead corporate account performance reviews, analysing market trends and account production to identify opportunities and address performance gaps.
- Collaborate closely with Revenue Management and Finance teams to optimise pricing strategies, forecasting accuracy, budgeting, and overall commercial performance.
- Manage Corporate and Consortia RFP processes, ensuring maximum participation and conversion opportunities.
- Analyse GDS, market intelligence, and business performance reports to identify trends and strengthen corporate sales strategies.
- Prepare and present regular sales performance, forecasting, and strategic business reports to the Hotel Manager and Cluster General Manager and Central Office.
- Act as a senior member of the hotel's Executive/Leadership Management Team, contributing to the overall commercial strategy and operational success of the property.
- Represent the hotel within the local business community, industry associations, and key corporate networks to enhance brand awareness and generate new business opportunities.
- Proven experience in a senior hotel sales leadership role with responsibility for corporate and commercial business development.
- Strong strategic thinking and commercial acumen with a track record of driving revenue growth and market share.
- Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, and developing successful sales teams and business development professionals.
- Excellent understanding of corporate sales, account management, consortia business, RFP processes, and revenue management principles.
- Strong financial awareness with experience collaborating on budgeting, forecasting, and business planning.
