Sales & Marketing - Commodities Institutional Sales - Analyst or Associate

As a Sales & Marketing professional in Commodities Institutional Sales, you will support the daily functions of our EMEA institutional sales team, servicing insurance companies, asset managers, hedge funds, pension funds, and banks. You will help strengthen our presence in the commodity markets, collaborate with trading and structuring teams, and deliver customized solutions to a diverse client base. Job responsibilities

Provide commodities coverage to institutional accounts across EMEA.Assist in strengthening our presence with institutional clients in both flow and structured environments.

Contribute to building a strong presence that challenges competitors in the marketplace.

Formulate marketing strategies, prospect new accounts, and deliver on coverage targets.

Assist trading and structuring teams in developing QIS index strategies for customized client solutions.

Support other parts of the firm in their commodities marketing efforts.

Become the “first call” for counter parties regarding their commodities needs.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Strong knowledge of Commodity Derivatives and/or QIS and index experience.

Drive and critical thinking skills to develop and service senior client relationships.

Strong analytical skills and ability to execute with skill and urgency.

Knowledge of derivatives.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Strong client coverage and servicing skills.

Excellent Excel proficiency and good PowerPoint skills.

Excellent time management skills.

Interest in commodities markets and institutional client base.

Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Additional spoken and written language abilities.

Experience supporting institutional clients in commodities sales.

Familiarity with EMEA markets and client types.

Experience collaborating with trading and structuring teams.

Demonstrated ability to prospect new accounts and deliver on coverage targets.

Experience with QIS index strategies and customized client solutions.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
