Client Development Executive; Producer- Construction

The role

We’re looking for a motivated and driven Client Development Executive (Producer) to join our Construction team in our Specialty Division, here at Jensten Group. Working closely with our Head of Construction & Infrastructure, the main aim of the role is to engage as a natural ‘hunter’ and relationship builder with proven commercial insurance experience, particularly across the construction sector.

You’ll be responsible for developing new business, building strong client relationships

and delivering tailored construction insurance and risk management solutions to businesses primarily across the UK, and on occasion Ireland and mainland Europe - where regulated. Some key objectives & responsibilities will include:

• Maximising every opportunity to influence exceeding income targets by consistent up selling and cross selling.
• Liaising with the Trading team and Markets to ensure client’s commercial requirements are met.
• Building new and strengthening existing relationships with regional offices and Group brands.
• Engagement with regional teams to build on collaboration between in group brokers and Jensten London Market.
• Identify opportunities for growth via existing client base and recognising new business opportunities,
• Recognise opportunity to streamline new business processes and systems, and action where appropriate
• Contributing to the Division’s income function by helping ensure renewal retention exceeds divisional targets.
• To ensure compliance with local procedures, customer service standards and external compliance regulations, e.g. FCA

As our Client Development Executive (Producer), you’ll be able to build & strengthen relationships easily, conducting client visits when needed and staying in regular communication. You’ll ideally have networks within the Construction space and have effective prospecting skills. You’ll also have a flair for spotting opportunities that will help existing and new clients going forward. Having a Commercial and/or Construction background, you’ll enjoy working in a dynamic newly formed team with a hands‑on approach and the ability to explain complex insurance products in simple terms.

You will also be or have:

• Insurance background
  - Commercial and /or Construction essential
• Relevant qualifications (e.g Cert CII) or working towards
• Demonstrable history of strong new business generation and conversion, and strong retentions
• Strong Construction networks/ contacts
• Great customer service skills
• Passion and flair for new business
• Excellent telephone manner, being able to network & build working relationships easily
• Drive and genuine passion to learn and develop within Insurance
• Worked in a similar role previously, with experience of working with Insurers and clients
• Able to use initiative and can multi-task, updating relevant systems and admin
• Acturis systems knowledge & experience (ideally)
