Account Executive- Construction

The role

We’re looking for a motivated and driven Account Executive to join our Construction team in our Specialty Division, here at Jensten Group. Working closely with our Head of Construction & Infrastructure, the main aim of the role is having a focus on prospecting for & generating new business/ bring on board new clients to help grow the Construction book of business- as well as helping on renewals when needed.

You’ll also be able to work with others within the Jensten Group, to help generate & follow up on leads and referrals. Working with new clients to assess risks and claims history- you’ll use your market knowledge and expertise, to help put forward the right products and services. You will be delivering extraordinary client service to drive new business, working within our commercial strategy and compliance framework.

Some key objectives & responsibilities will include:

• Offer and present insurance solutions including insurance policies and other risk management solutions, with purpose to secure new business/ & or renewals
• Identify and pursue cross-selling, up-selling and similar opportunities. Utilise all leads provided to you by the company and develop new and efficient ways to increase the quote volume.
• Achieve or exceed agreed volume of Quotes/Sales/Income generated from all marketing sources including own personal prospecting activity.
• To understand client’s business operations, opportunities and risks and their approach to risk management and insurance.
• Develop and sustain effective relationships with clients, and effectively analyse client needs and develop solutions.
• Respond promptly to client queries and ensure that all communications with customers and/or insurers or other business contacts are accurately recorded.
• To ensure compliance with local procedures, customer service standards and external compliance regulations, e.g. FCA

As our Account Executive, you’ll be able to build & strengthen relationships easily, conducting client visits when needed and staying in regular communication. You’ll have a passion for providing solutions- and a flair for spotting opportunities that will help existing and new clients going forward. Having a Commercial and/or Construction background, you’ll enjoy working in a dynamic team with a hands-on approach and the ability to explain complex insurance products in simple terms.

You will also be or have:

• Insurance background
  - Commercial and/or Construction essential
• Relevant qualifications (e.g Cert CII) or working towards
• Demonstrable history of strong new business generation and conversion, and strong retentions
• Great customer service skills
• Passion and flair for new business
• Excellent telephone manner, being able to network & build working relationships easily
• Drive and genuine passion to learn and develop within Insurance
• Worked in a similar role previously, with experience of working with Insurers and clients
• Able to use initiative and can multi-task, updating relevant systems and admin
• Acturis systems knowledge & experience (ideally)
