Salary

The starting salary is £45,131, which includes allowances totalling £2,928. The salary is broken down as £42,203 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £47,668 Plus, a location allowance of £1,928 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

Job Summary

The Training and Accreditation Training Development Officers will ensure the consistent delivery of all NaCTSO training of Counter Terrorism Security Advisors (CTSA), Counter Terrorism Prepare Officers (CTPO) and Counter Terrorism Awareness Advisors (CTAA) throughout the CT network. These roles will also ensure that the training and accreditation of these resources is conducted in accordance with College of Policing, City and Guilds and other external verification agencies.

These roles require CT knowledge in either Protect, as a CTSA or in Prepare as a CT Prepare Professional.

These roles will support the management of training, licensing and accreditation with the office of the National Coordinator Protect and Prepare (NCPP), regionally based Protect and Prepare Leads, Counter Terrorism Units, Local Resilience Forums and other partner agencies to define and develop a consistent Counter Terrorism Protect and Prepare capability across the UK.

Key Tasks
  • Supporting the training, licensing and accreditation of all CT Protect and Prepare resources across the CT Network of the UK
  • Ensure all relevant licence submissions (inc CTSA) follow the City and Guilds accreditation standards 9200 and the City and Guilds Centre Manual
  • Assess CT Prepare CPD evidence submissions to ensure they achieve the required standard
  • Support all relevant CT Protect and Prepare personnel in the compilation of CPD and licensing requirements
  • Support the delivery of NaCTSO training products including Protect and Prepare Induction Course, CTSA Foundation Course, Safety & Security in Radiological Sources and Safety & Security in Biological Substances, Maritime, Aviation, Protective Security Coordinators Course and the Prepare Plan Writing Course amongst others.
  • Engage with the CTSA, CTAA and CT Prepare network through a series of national and regional meetings
  • Maintain effective communication between NaCTSO and regional resources
  • Support Line management requests as required
Vetting

This post requires access to the most sensitive intelligence material on a daily basis. Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Security Check (enhanced) (SC(e)) level before taking up the post.

This post requires British nationality (some dual nationals may be ineligible) and an Enhanced Security Check (eSC)/Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.

As the post holder will have access to very sensitive information, there are limitations on travelling to a small number of countries and we will undertake additional security checks as part of the recruitment process.
