Salary: £34,880 - £38,388 per annum (inclusive of Inner London Weighting and 11% unsocial hours working allowance)

35 hours per week (flexible).
Hours of Work/Pattern: Monday to Sunday, shift start 07:00–11:00, end 13:00–19:00. Bank holidays are worked.

Central Criminal Court

The Central Criminal Court has been London’s principal criminal court for centuries, known for its historic trials and prominent legal figures.

We are seeking a Security Officer to work 35 hours per week (flexibly) within the CCC precinct, including public galleries. The principal duties are:

• Ensure the safety of Court users and staff
• Monitor CCTV and assess visual activity
• Screen facility users using X‑ray machines and handheld metal detectors
• Respond to incidents and coordinate with emergency services as required
• Maintain accurate logs and report observations to supervisory staff

Candidate requirements:

• Flexible and adaptable in a high‑volume, high‑volatility environment
• Proven experience in customer service with a track record of high standards
• Customer Service, Social Care or Security NVQ, or recognized equivalent
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Ability to undertake delegated tasks effectively in emergency situations
• Desirable: SIA Door Supervisor licence; willingness to obtain within first 6 months

Voluntary overtime opportunities are available and paid at an enhanced rate.
