Fixed term contract to 31 December 2026 – possibility of permanent opportunities at end of contract
- 20 hours per week minimum. Contracts will require flexibility and will cover a range of hours (0300 – 2300) and weekends
- £18.42 per hour (£16.62 per hour during initial 3‑month probation period) inclusive of 20 % shift allowance
- Plus disturbance payment of £94 per month, applicable on this contract

The roleSecurity Officers are one of the most vital roles in the airport, ensuring that all passengers have a safe and enjoyable journey.
Responsibilities- Conducting hand searches of customers and cabin luggage as required in Security
- Operating high‑tech security equipment such as X‑Ray machines and body scanners
- Patrolling our terminal and manning posts
- Checking staff and customer boarding cards before entering the security area
- Delivering great service to our customers
No security experience is required as we pride ourselves in offering full training. Ideally you will have experience of working in a customer‑focused environment. We value enthusiasm, a proactive attitude, excellent customer service, good presentation, punctuality and attention to detail.
All candidates must have perfect colour vision and the role will require long periods of standing, bending, walking and manual handling.
If you are successful you will be made a conditional offer subject to pre‑employment checks and passing your initial four‑week training course (40 hours – Monday to Friday) which is fully paid. Checks include a criminal record check, 5‑year employment history, a counter‑terrorism check and a face‑to‑face medical appointment.
Due to the nature of our security checks, we are unable to consider any applications from candidates who have not lived in the UK for the last 3 years.
