HM Prison Officer – HMP Guys Marsh
Salary: £33,746 – £38,003 per year. You will be responsible for protecting the public, maintaining safety, and supporting prisoners to build a positive future.
Responsibilities- Protect and safeguard the prison, offenders, and staff.
- Work to manage and minimise risks to both prisoners and staff.
- Build professional, constructive relationships with offenders.
- Act as a peacekeeper, counsellor, or educator during daily shifts.
- Support team members and operate as one team to keep the prison safe.
- High integrity and strong character.
- Empathy, confidence and effective communication.
- Team‑working abilities and willingness to support colleagues.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, weekends and changeable schedules.
