Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join Mitie Intelligence Services (MIS) as part of the Intelligence Hub, in a new role within the rapidly evolving and growing team. This role will focus on delivering a portfolio of intelligence services for a leading multinational organisation in the financial sector, working alongside the senior client and a range of key internal and external stakeholders.

The Intelligence Hub's remit is to provide an open-source intelligence (OSINT) capability to Mitie's client, including the identification of potential threats to our client's employees and business operations and the delivery of timely, actionable threat intelligence. The Hub also provides major incident communications support in response to significant incidents and bespoke digital investigation services for unique security requirements.

Objectives and Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have experience in a security intelligence environment (law enforcement, military, government, or private sector), be a confident decision-maker with excellent judgement, and possess strong written communication skills. A comprehensive understanding of UK and global security issues must be present.

Key Accountabilities And

Role Overview
  • Work with the senior client, account manager, Intelligence Hub, and other stakeholders to create and deliver intelligence products and services for the UK, EMEA, and APAC regions.
  • Develop and maintain a high-quality predictive intelligence and horizon scanning capability, producing concise intelligence reports and briefings on threats to physical security such as terrorism, crime, and activism.
  • Conduct geopolitical and security threat analysis for countries and cities across EMEA and APAC, focusing on implications for client operations and staff.
  • Support horizon scanning and predictive intelligence activities to identify, assess, and report on developing risks and trends.
  • Deliver intelligence briefings, risk assessments, and analytical products to senior stakeholders.
  • Support travel risk management, including assessment of travel security risks and real‑time monitoring of incidents affecting employee travel.
  • Contribute to incident response efforts, including threat assessment and communication during crises.
  • Monitor OSINT, government alerts, and vendor reports to maintain a robust understanding of the threat landscape.
  • Maintain intelligence tools, databases, and workflows to ensure effective information collection and dissemination.
  • Support Executive Protection and personal security efforts through analysis of potential threat actors and publicly available information.
  • Attend customer meetings to brief the strategic intelligence picture and build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Act as a mentor and coach to junior employees within a broader SOC environment.
Key Skills and Experience
  • Degree-educated or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject area.
  • At least three years of experience in a threat intelligence environment.
  • Strong relationship‑building skills with customers and partners.
  • Ability to formulate logical risk assessments based on available information and understand customer intelligence requirements.
  • Experience processing and analysing qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and high attention to detail.
  • Reliable, flexible, and discreet.
  • Knowledge of UK and global events and their security impacts.
  • Experience interrogating and exploiting social media platforms for threat intelligence.

  • Master's degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject area.
