Department Overview

The UK Manager of Physical & Technical Security will be responsible for developing and implementing security strategies to ensure the security of all UK company corporate assets, including employees, facilities, and information globally. This role will be based in our East Finchley office but will require travel to our locations worldwide.

Duties

1. Manage the day-to-day operations of the corporate security department.

2. Coordinate and maintain relationships with local, state, international, and federal law enforcement and other related government agencies.

3. Develop and manage budgets for security operations and monitor for variances.

4. Manage the development and implementation of global security policy, standards, guidelines, and procedures.

5. Ensure security strategies and initiatives are integrated into the corporate risk management program.

6. Provide leadership, direction, and training to global security team members.

7. Manage and train security personnel and contractors.

8. Conduct risk assessments, security audits, and recommend enhancements.

9. Oversee incident response planning as well as the investigation of security breaches.

10. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

11. Collaborate with other departments to integrate security measures into their operations.

12. Manage security vendors to include RFPs.

13. Stay informed of the latest security threats and trends.

14. Collaborate with Corporate HQ to align global initiatives.

15. Maintain relationships with local community.

16. Manage and maintain security technology (cameras, access control, and alarm systems).

17. Coordination with Emergency Services (fire and life safety).

18. Maintain employee duty of care.

Streamline security systems to communicate globally where applicable.

20. Consult on all corporate office builds and modifications globally.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional security management certification preferred.

2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Physical & Technical security role with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

3. Proven experience in developing and implementing security policies and procedures.

4. Strong understanding of multi-disciplinary security practices such as physical security, risk management, and information security.

5. Excellent leadership and team management skills.

6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

7. Ability to travel as needed.

8. Experience operating with a Global Security Operations Center (GSOC).

9. Proficient in Microsoft Office products and tech trends.

10. Knowledge in Executive Protection and Intelligence

11. 3 years of military or law enforcement experience.
