Manager, Protective Services (EMEA)

Join us in our mission to transform the way people shop and eat, where impact, innovation, and growth drives everything we do. Our Global Safety and Security team are the guardians of our marketplace, dedicated to protecting our people, assets, and reputation. From navigating complex global risks to implementing advanced security technologies and intelligence-led responses, we ensure a safe environment where our teams, partners, and customers can thrive with confidence.

We’re looking for a Manager, Protective Services (EMEA) to join our London team. This is a hybrid role (with up to 50% travel and required operational flexibility). In this role, you’ll build and own executive protection and physical security support across EMEA, fusing protective intelligence with logistics to ensure our leadership travels safely and seamlessly across complex international markets.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be joining the Protective Services team, sitting within Global Safety and Security. EMEA represents our highest concentration of offices and executive travel outside North America; this build mandate focuses on protecting executives, their families, and the operations supporting them. Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:

Intelligence & Travel Logistics Fusion
  • Fuse intelligence products with operational logistics to design journey management plans, routing, lodging vetting, and pre-travel briefings for executive travel across EMEA.
  • Serve as the Detail Lead for executive movements into complex international markets, leading advance planning, route assessments, and on-the-ground protective coverage.
Protective Posture & Infrastructure
  • Help define and execute the long-term strategy for protective operations across EMEA, aligning regional standards, systems, and capabilities with the broader global program.
  • Conduct and oversee risk and vulnerability assessments for executive residences, facilities, and travel programs, converting findings into actionable security improvements.
Vendor Network & Operational Leadership
  • Build and maintain a vetted network of in-country security providers, medical support partners, fixers, and diplomatic contacts, while managing vendor budgets and performance.
  • Act as direct manager and point of escalation for Protective Services staff supporting EMEA operations, building and scaling team structure as the program expands.
What You’ll Need to Thrive Essential
  • Executive Protection Expertise:
Extensive background leading protective operations, executive movements, and travel security internationally across fast-moving or under-resourced markets.
  • Intelligence-Led Execution:
Proven ability to translate raw risk and threat intelligence directly into concrete logistics decisions, contingency triggers, and operational travel plans.
  • Program & Vendor Leadership:
Strong track record in program management, including budget oversight, contract management for regional security providers, and building physical security programs.
  • People Leadership:
Experience leading, mentoring, or managing operational security teams, with readiness to take on direct people management responsibility as the EMEA team grows.
  • Risk Assessment & Technical Grounding:
Demonstrated expertise conducting vulnerability assessments for residences, facilities, and events, with a solid working knowledge of physical security technologies (surveillance, access control, and monitoring).
Nice to Have
  • Certifications & Licensing:
Relevant professional certifications such as CPP, PSP, SIA Close Protection License, or advanced travel security credentials (e.g., HEFAT).
  • AI & Security Technology Capability:
Active engagement with modern AI tools to accelerate workflows, enhance analytics, and support decision-making within physical security operations.
  • Crisis & Medical Response

    Experience:

Hands-on experience with medical evacuation planning, duty-of-care frameworks, and embassy or crisis-response coordination abroad.
  • Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
