Looking for a role where no two days are the same?

We're looking for a friendly, confident and proactive Campus Safety Ambassador to join our team at London South Bank University.

This isn't a traditional security role. You'll be the welcoming face of the campus, helping students, staff and visitors feel safe, supported and informed throughout the day. You'll build positive relationships, provide excellent customer service and play a key role in creating a welcoming environment across a busy university campus.

During term time, the campus is a high-footfall environment, so you'll need to enjoy being around people, stay calm under pressure, and be happy working as part of a close-knit team where everyone supports each other.

What you’ll be doing
  • Welcoming students, staff and visitors to campus
  • Providing directions, information and general assistance
  • Carrying out customer-focused security and safety patrols
  • Responding to incidents and escalating concerns where required
  • Monitoring access and maintaining a safe campus environment
  • Supporting events and busy campus activities
  • Completing reports and using site systems accurately
  • Working closely with colleagues, facilities teams and university stakeholders
What we’re looking for
  • A valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guard Licence
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A confident and approachable manner
  • The ability to remain professional in challenging situations
  • Good attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Basic IT skills, including Outlook, Teams and Word
  • A positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues wherever needed
  • Reliability, professionalism and a strong work ethic
What’s in it for you?
  • Training and ongoing development
  • Opportunities to progress into supervisory and management roles
  • Industry-recognised qualifications and apprenticeships
  • A supportive and inclusive team environment
  • Experience working within a leading university environment
  • A role where you can genuinely make a difference every day

If you're passionate about people, enjoy being active, and want to be part of a team that helps create a safe and welcoming campus experience, we'd love to hear from you.
