Overview

The Security Officer plays a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests,colleagues, and property. As a highly visible presence across the hotel, therole is responsible for monitoring, preventing, and responding to safety and security risks with professionalism, discretion, and efficiency.

This position requires close coordination with hotel management and external emergency services toensure that all guests and employees enjoy a secure, welcoming environment inline with Montcalm Collection’s commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and ensure the safety and security of hotel guests,staff, and property.
  • Operate surveillance systems, monitor cameras, and investigate suspicious activity.
  • Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols across all areas ofthe hotel.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies including fire alarms,medical incidents, or security breaches.
  • Control access to restricted areas, ensuring only authorised individuals are permitted.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, actions taken, anddaily activity reports.
  • Participate in emergency drills and follow established hotel emergency procedures.
  • Provide support to guests and staff during incidents with professionalism and care.
  • Liaise with management, local law enforcement, and emergency services when required.
