At Sodexo, safety is at the heart of everything we do. We're looking for a professional and customer-focused Security Officer to join our team at Homerton Hospital
, helping to create a safe, secure and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and staff.
As a Security Officer, you'll play a vital role in protecting people, property and hospital operations. You'll provide a visible security presence across the site, carrying out patrols, responding to incidents and supporting colleagues in maintaining a safe healthcare environment.
What you'll do- Carry out proactive and responsive security patrols across the hospital.
- Respond to routine, urgent and emergency incidents in line with service standards.
- Maintain a visible presence to deter anti-social behaviour and security risks.
- Support hospital staff, patients and visitors with security-related concerns.
- Monitor and report potential health, safety and fire risks.
- Complete incident reports and maintain accurate records.
- Assist with investigations and provide witness statements where required.
- Work closely with hospital and Sodexo teams to ensure a safe and secure environment at all times.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has at least 12 months' security experience
. - Is customer-focused with excellent communication skills.
- Remains calm and professional when dealing with challenging situations.
- Is confident, reliable and able to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Understands the importance of dignity, confidentiality and professionalism within a healthcare setting.
- Is physically fit and comfortable working both indoor and outdoor patrols.
